FELICILANDIA
The world was on pause, but not everyone paused.
In the midst of the pandemic, surfer Nicolás Vargas came up with a mission to escape confinement. Along with his friend Guillermo Satt, he set sail to Patagonia in search of distant and unknown waves.
Accompanied by an eccentric captain and an inexperienced navigator, they rediscover the thrill of adventure and the passion for surfing in unexplored places, facing the powerful southern seas of Chile, where storms seem to forbid entry.
"Felicilandia" is a film that immerses us in the experience of sailing toward places where waves have yet to be found—toward a state of freedom and exhilaration that only the ocean can provide.
SURF FILM FESTIVALS
In 2024, Felicilandia was featured at over 15 surf film festivals worldwide as an official selection, receiving honourable mentions and several prestigious awards. These included Best Surf Film at the Travel Beyond Film Festival (TBFF) in Toronto, Best Editing at the Portuguese Surf Film Festival in Ericeira, Portugal, and Best Cinematography at the Rocky Spirit Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro. It was also part of the Ocean Film Tour across Europe.
